A website is not finished once it has been published. The software underneath – web server, PHP, publishing system – receives security updates all the time, and attacks today are automated and relentless.
An example from October 2026: On 21 October, patches were released for two critical vulnerabilities in PHP itself (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619, known as «PHP2Shell»). They made it possible to take control of a server without logging in, and attacks were already underway. PHP powers a large share of the world's websites, including all WordPress sites. The websites we are responsible for were updated that same evening.
Monitoring: every website is checked day and night for its actual content, not just whether it responds – an error page that looks like a normal page is also detected.
